My 20+ year career at this Eagan MN based electronics distributor began with purchasing my computer/software and buying office furniture since they had previously farmed all of their design out. Created/managed 2500+ product images annually and regularly juggled multiple design projects. Developed training materials (including videos) for new Photoshop users at Capitol.
During my time at Capitol I saw the remarkable shift from print to digital marketing. Time spent at the printer's- proofing 300+ page catalogs- turned into time collaborating with an agency to launch our online catalog. Quarterly printed flyers turned into weekly email flyers. My ability to adapt to change and learn new technologies was part of my success at Capitol.
First employee at Capitol Sales to begin telecommuting, and several more followed suit. Created effective project management communications using email, Acrobat Pro, Google spreadsheets, and GoToMeeting. Received a company award for trailblazing telecommuting.

Designed three to five eflyers or evites on a weekly basis. They were built from templates that I created to follow branding standards, and most of them were completed in less than an hour or two.
Supported human resources with graphics for company intranet, fillable forms, internal signage, and employee communications.
Established solid branding that ensured consistent and recognizable communications, including internal pieces like the company newsletter which was first distributed by mail and later by email.
Saw the company through several website iterations. Initially designed and maintained Capitol's site using Dreamweaver. Later created graphics to work within wireframes provided by outside programmers who linked our online catalog with warehouse inventory.
Produced print flyers featuring 50-60 products within a two-week turnaround...from photography all the way through to press checks.
Design, photo direction, layout and text formatting for dozens of print catalogs, ranging from 50 to 400 pages. Took these projects from Excel files all the way through to press checks and coordination of mailing.
Banners, foam core displays and digital display graphics for trade shows. Plaques, posters and digital display graphics for internal communications.
